Narrungdera Earth Fest
The Narrungdera Earth Fest is a three-day festival showcasing and celebrating Aboriginal Culture, heritage, and practices.
Project scope:
Branding implementation
Client timeline:
March 2022 - May 2022
Location:
Wiradjuri Country, Narrandera, NSW
Made possible by Building Better Regions funding, Bendigo Bank and Narrandera Shire Council, the Narrungdera Earth Fest is three days filled with workshops, food and storytelling, bringing Aboriginal culture to the forefront.
We got to know Roseanne Powell and Angela Galluzzo, proud Wiradjuri sisters from the Narrungdera Clan, who run Prickly Lizard Events from Narrandera and Wagga Wagga, NSW.
It is with the guidance of their Mother Aunty Jean Galluzzo, Elders and Ancestors that they commit to always have yindyamarra (respect) and to empower communities through their events.
The suite of festival collateral really came to life with artwork from Shelby Lyons from Marara Designs, and photography from Ami Wilde.
As non-Indigenous graphic designers, we were mindful of being culturally appropriate at each and every design iteration and for this close collaboration, we are grateful for the team we were able to work with.
