PLATFORM is an innovative arts and disability project that aims to increase the participation of both people and artists with disability in community festivals and celebrations throughout the Riverina.
A purpose-built shipping container has been designed and constructed by the team at Eastern Riverina Arts (ERA) with the goal to curate the space with inclusivity in mind. It has three strands:
1. an accessible portable multi-sensory chill out-room that provides a relaxed, fun space to promote the work of artists with disability.
2. an accessible portable deluxe bathroom (Ezy-Dun) with a toilet, hoist and adult changing table for people with any disability.
3. a collaboration between Eastern Riverina Arts, IDEAS and our festival partners to develop strategic projects that design increased accessibility into events.
ERA needed a brand for PLATFORM to start the conversation with event organisers and stakeholders.
They wanted to be the voice for all those with a disability. The had a vision to make events accessible for all, no matter what.
Minta worked closely with ERA and Ideas to make a brand that met accessibility standards online as well as in the physical space. There are social graphics, a suite of logos for various communication and a template to keep a record of the PLATFORM journey for stakeholders.
Our favourite part? A large format graphic vinyl wrap to accompany PLATFORM on its journey via semi-trailer to wherever it needs to go to next (you can follow it here).
PLATFORM is an initiative of Eastern Riverina Arts funded by the National Disability Insurance Agency’s Information, Linkages and Capacity Building program. PLATFORM is delivered in collaboration with Ideas.
